Sugawara-ha Katori Shinto Ryu
Training led by Rob Dillon Sensei
Monthly Training
One Saturday per Month · 12:00–3:00 PM
Sugawara-ha Katori Shinto Ryu is a classical Japanese martial tradition encompassing multiple weapons disciplines. Monthly training at Kogetsukai is led by Rob Dillon Sensei and begins with foundational study in iaido and kenjutsu — cultivating posture, distance, timing, and partner awareness — before progressing into additional weapons such as yari (spear), bo (long staff), and naginata (polearm).
This structured progression ensures that students develop shared fundamentals before expanding into the broader weapons curriculum of the school.
