Disciplines We Share
At Rising Moon Warriors, we offer a range of Japanese traditions, including martial arts and Zen practices. Each discipline fosters physical skill, mental focus, and personal growth.
Kenjutsu
Kenjutsu teaches the art of swordsmanship, including basic strikes, defensive techniques, and forms (kata) that promote discipline and concentration.
Iaido (Seitei)
Iaido focuses on the precise and controlled drawing of the sword, fostering a sense of timing, awareness, and fluid movement.
Jodo (Seitei)
Involves the use of the short staff (jo), teaching techniques that develop control, timing, and self-defense skills.
Zen Meditation
Helps children develop focus, calmness, and mindfulness, which are essential for both martial arts training and daily life.
Four Pillars of Swordsmanship
At Rising Moon Warriors, our kids’ martial arts training begins with the Four Pillars of Swordsmanship. These core elements—Technique, Fitness, Kata, and Meditation—form the foundation of our approach. By focusing on precise technique, physical conditioning, structured forms, and mindfulness, students develop a well-rounded skill set that supports their growth in martial arts and beyond.
